Mustang Fastback 1965 by gsackesen Mustang Fastback 1965 by gsackesen
My first "serious" drawing after 8 years of break. You can check the reference photo here; [link]
Took me about 100+ hours. Original size is 52x32 cm. Graphite and charcoal on smooth bristol. By the way this is my first post in deviantart:) There may be some distortion in contrast and brightness as I couldn't scan it well. Next time it will be better.

hi. I just wanna ask do you use any type of brushes to blend graphite in larger areas? or you are using just a cloth and blending stumps, tourtillons ? I need to know to improve my blending
thanks

wow, that looks realistic , I'm not surprised you worked 100+ hours on it. Did you used mechanical pencils for details ?

I've used charcoal for only tires on the first layer of the paper, and then I used graphite for the finish. I'm glad you like it.

Hello, I didn't think anyone could get any better than this, or should i say is it even possible?. I also have been drawing cars for the last five years now and would love to know your trick on how you get the body reflecting so black, and shiney in the dark areas?. I am still trying to figure that out after 5 years and cannot get my drawings to shine like that. Is it all graphite on the body or is there something layered first or after the graphite?. I would really appreciate it if you would give me a few tip's on that!. Thankyou!
